Focus Reports Developer is part of the Focus Reports Professional package. Use this software to:

• Print all Focus Reports reports
• Edit any existing Focus Reports report, including look-alike versions of standard MediSoft/NDCMedisoft reports
• Create new reports to meet your exact needs

No experience with report editing software? No problem. Focus Reports Developer is part of the Focus Reports Professional package and includes well over three hours of CD-based training to get you started.

Customize Standard Focus Reports and MediSoft Look-Alike Reports

With Focus Reports Professional any standard Focus Reports report or any of the included look-alike versions of standard MediSoft/NDCMedisoft reports can be customized to your needs.

MediSoft/NDCMedisoft data tables may be accessed for creating a wide variety of custom reports, including charts, graphs, and other advanced styling.

Works with MediSoft Right Out of the Box

From the development language to the database structure, Focus Reports Developer is designed to complement MediSoft Patient Accounting. Focus Reports Developer includes support for native Advantage data table access. There is no need to use ODBC or other database drivers, making even the most complex reports easier to develop and faster to print.

Many included predefined data queries already know about MediSoft data files. Field definitions and cross-table linkages are included with the Focus Reports Developer. If your needs are different, use the query wizard to define your own data queries. Custom data queries may then be used for future reports development.

Focus Reports Developer includes freely editable and distributable reports that look exactly like hard-coded MediSoft reports. Custom changes to standard MediSoft reports are now possible.

How the Developer Works

Developing a report is divided into four steps:

• Gather data for the report (Query tab on the developer screen)
• Define any necessary data manipulation (Calc tab on the developer screen)
• Use the visual designer to drag and drop fields onto the designer page, arrange the page elements, and set the visual attributes of report components (Design tab on the developer screen)
• Check the look and progress of the report as you make it (Preview tab on the developer screen)

When a report is complete, burn a CD complete with a professional installation program that will run automatically when a customer inserts the CD.

Focus Reports Developer already knows about MediSoft data tables. Predefined queries are included, or write your own special-purpose queries. Native Advantage data table access makes your reports run faster and your customers happier.

The band-oriented visual report designer is already familiar in its appearance and approach. Drag and drop fields from the Data Tree window directly onto the designer screen. A tabbed interface gives ready access to data query, data manipulation, design and preview screens.
